REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS AND FEE QUOTE
FOR
HEALTH BENEFITS CONSULTING SERVICES

The City of Georgetown, South Carolina, is seeking qualifications from professional and licensed consultant firms that specialize in providing a full range of consulting services for public sector benefit programs for its municipal employees, retirees, and eligible dependants. The City provides health insurance benefits to 186 regular employees and 26 retirees. The City will give preference to consulting firms having demonstrated successful experience in researching group health care plans, vendors and options, as well as recommending and negotiating cost-effective pricing for all components of its group health care plans.
The City is interested in receiving responses from consultant firms only. Responses from brokers or agents are not desired and will not be considered.

RFQ – Health Benefits Consulting Services
Five (5) copies of the firm’s submission are required and must be labeled “Request for Qualifications and Fee Quote for Health Benefits Consulting Services”, and received by the City no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, March 19, 2010. Submittals may be hand delivered or mailed as follows:

No RFQ will be accepted after its due date and time specified above. The City reserves the right to waive any technicalities or informalities and to accept or reject any and/or all submissions as deemed by its sole judgment to be in its best interest. The City also reserves the right to terminate the selection process without notice, to waive any irregularities in any submittal, and to request additional information from any of the firms submitting an RFQ. All costs relating to the preparation and delivery of the RFQ shall be borne by the participating firm.
