REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

UTILITY BILL PRINTING AND MAILING SERVICES
DUE: THURSDAY, AUGUST 5, 2010 AT 3:00 PM

The City of Georgetown, South Carolina is seeking proposals with price quotes from qualified firms for utility billing services including print production, mail processing, and support for the City’s utility bills. The City produces approximately 5,500 cycle bills per month. Approximately 1,500 delinquent notices are also mailed each month. Each statement is to be printed with a remittance envelope, sorted, and mailed within a 29 hour period. Inserts may be included with the utility services bills as needed. Proposals must be valid for at least ninety (90) days from the date due. The City will review the proposals received and select the firm which, in the opinion of the City, is the most qualified to provide the services requested.

No  RFP will be accepted after its due date and time specified above. The City reserves the right to waive any technicalities or informalities and to accept or reject any and/or all submissions as deemed by its sole judgment to be in its best interest. The City also reserves the right to terminate the selection process without notice, to waive any irregularities in any submittal, and  to request additional information from any of the firms submitting an  RFP.   All costs relating to the preparation and delivery of the RFP shall be borne by the participating firm.

Request for Proposal

Docking Facilities for Large Touring Vessel Charter/Sailing Excursions
 Note: Proposals accepted until contract agreement is finalized.

The City of Georgetown, South Carolina, is soliciting proposals from qualified touring/charter vessel companies for the use of its docking facilities at Francis Marion Park. At minimum, the proposal must include providing a large touring vessel such as a “tall sailing ship”, schooner, or similar type of sailing vessel that could accommodate a large number of tourists or passengers, as well as provide chartering/sailing excursion services in the City’s nearby waters. The docking facility is located along the City’s Harborwalk at Francis Marion Park on Front Street in Downtown Georgetown, South Carolina. The City will make docking space available through a contract period not to exceed five (5) years in return for a proposed annual fee for dock usage. Proposed fee should include all labor, materials, fuel, and any and all equipment used in the performance of an agreement, as well as taxes, applicable insurance, licenses, and permits. Proposed fee must remain in effect for ninety (90) days from the date proposal is submitted to the City. Proposer should outline marketing and sales methodology and knowledge of touring vessels and excursions.
